Scott Pastore-Shepherd
Producer/Development
Scott started out acting in numerous films, including “Vampires Kiss” with Nicholas Cage and “Coming To America” with Eddie Murphy. Later, he became a partner with Gridlock Productions producing TV commercials and music videos. Eventually, Scott got involved with producing independent films, including “Destiny To Order” with Michael Ironside, “Fright House” with Al Lewis, “Good Night Sweet Marilyn” with Jeremy Slate.
Having trained in the martial arts since he was 12 years old, Scott was eventually inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1994 with the likes of Chuck Norris, Don Wilson and Jeff Speakman. Scott was inducted for his seminar work around the country and promoting FUMA Crusade Against Crime and Drugs, linked with Chuck Norris’ Kick Drugs Out Of America. With a deal from Time-Warner, Scott Executive Produced/hosted the cable television celebrity guest show "Kick Back". The show lasted 23 episodes with positive reviews. Scott elected to stop the show and move on to his greatest passion, the wild west. He formed Frontier Rider Productions and began producing live wild west shows for casinos, corporate events and theme parks. He produced the documentary with The Learning Channel titled “Gunfighters Of The West” (I & II) starring Brian Dennehy. FR Productions also produced promotional work for “Johnson County War” starring Tom Berenger. The success of his western genre focus earned him numerous awards, including the Buck Jones Golden Horseshoe Award for western film preservation and The Buck Jones Medal of Honor for achievement.
This success led to Scott’s relationship with publishing giant Golden Books Family Entertainment, owners of the Lone Ranger trademark. GBFE was seeking an actor who personified the masked man. With an itch to act again, Scott was selected to portray the new Lone Ranger (in 2000). He appeared in TV commercials, a promotional tour, print ads and even plans for a feature film. Scott was the first authorized actor, since actor Clayton Moore, to wear the mask. The company was eventually bought out in 2002 and all projects were shelved indefinitely.
Scott has received proclamations and Keys To The City from around the country, including one by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman making February 7, 2001 Scott Shepherd the Lone Ranger Day. In 2002, Scott was honored by the Southern California Motion Picture Council for his contribution to film and television with the Jeannie Emerald Star Angel Award and the Golden Halo Award.
Very active in the community, Scott has volunteered his services by attending a Police Academy and becoming a Reserve Police Officer. He also works with youth groups, such as the Boy Scouts Explorer program and the Police Athletic League. Scott spends most of his free time training with his horses and getting involved with youth rodeo. Scott is continually working on ways to promote cowboy culture, bull riding and the rodeo world. Scott and his wife Brandy live in Las Vegas, Nevada, but look forward to moving back to the great state of Texas. |
