D. Jeffrey Andrick
Advisor

Mr. Andrick has been channeling his fifteen years of entertainment finance and related experience toward the establishment of a new direct financing and advisory business targeting capital concepts for motion picture, television and new media. In order to focus his efforts on this new venture Mr. Andrick left Comerica Bank, a $50 billion super-regional U.S. financial institution; in turn, Comerica retained Mr. Andrick for consulting services.  While at Comerica, Mr. Andrick served as Manager and First Vice President of the Entertainment Industries Group; there he helped establish and build a high-performing specialized banking unit of ten people, with a focus on motion picture and television project finance, varied corporate financing structures, and relationship banking.

Mr. Andrick has financed a large number of Motion Pictures of varying sizes and genres, including major studio releases and independent projects.  Many of these projects have specifically sought to tailor financing around various territorial resources, such as economic (e.g. tax incentives) and cultural (e.g. co-productions, subsidies and grants) programs. In addition to project finance, Mr. Andrick has an extensive background in corporate finance to entertainment and media companies of all sizes, including studio-based ventures.  Mr. Andrick has represented two banks at AFMA, (American Film Market Association) a trade association to the independent sector, including working groups under AFMA’s Affiliated Financial Institutions on the development and implementation of numerous productions and financing initiatives.  Mr. Andrick participates regularly in the Motion Picture and television markets and various industry functions, including speaking engagements at various international panels, courses and workshops; he was also previously appointed to the Los Angeles Mayoral Economic Incentives Committee for production retention and other industry issues.

In Los Angeles, prior to Comerica Mr. Andrick held entertainment lending positions at Imperial Bank and City National Bank, as well as an asset management/investment role with Shearson Lehman Hutton in its real estate investment-banking unit.  While living and studying in Europe, Mr. Andrick consulted to numerous private entities in the entertainment and real estate industries.  Mr. Andrick served as Director for a large-scale real estate endeavor, where he developed joint venture strategies, structured a development and financing plan, and negotiated key agreements for a Russian privatization and other international projects.

Mr. Andrick holds a Master of Business Administration degree (1995) from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University (Netherlands); there he founded the Entrepreneur Club and pursued an international focus in strategic planning and finance.  Mr. Andrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (1986) from Oberlin College (Ohio) in Mathematics and Physical Education; there he led two varsity sports teams and completed internships at NASA (solar cell research), May Company (buyer) and college admissions.
