About Astrablu

Astrablu Media, Inc. has been organized as a Nevada Public Company since July 25th 2003 as a Motion Film and Television Development, Production, Distribution and Sales Company, which was originally named in 2003 as ProActive Media Corp., supplying commercial Motion Pictures to meet worldwide entertainment demands.

The Entertainment industry is in a period of unprecedented growth fueled by new markets and technologies created by the DVD/Blu-ray, Cable Television and the Internet revolution.  In this opportune climate, a Motion Picture produced at costs that can be kept to a minimum under strict budgetary controls so they can return its cost and enter into profitability in a shorter time without compromising the integrity of the finished product.

Astrablu has premiered, in Las Vegas, NV, its movie titled “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” with much fanfare, released through Lionsgate Film distribution (LGF) www.lionsgate.com in the US. The movie features an ensemble cast including Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie, American Wedding, The Rules of Attraction), Jenny Mollen (Return of the Living Dead 5:  Rave to the Grave, WB’s “Angel”), Andrew Katos (Push), Chelsea Handler (E! Entertainment The Chelsea Handler Show, Girls Behaving Badly), Diedrich Bader (Napoleon Dynamite, Ice Age, Office Space) and Nicole Eggert (Baywatch Hawaii, Blown Away, Siberia). With special appearance by Jonathan Winters and Paul Mazursky.

Astrablu has just completed a feature documentary entitled “Naked In America”.  The project tracks the experiences of four couples for an introspective and eye opening week at one of America’s premiere nudist resorts.  The catch, for the couple?  It’s their first time at a nudist resort and participating in the nude experience.

By capturing the reactions of these average Americans to this taboo-defying environment, “Naked In America” has defined what has become a hot-button issue in the American attitudes towards the naked human form.  We are entering the documentary in a number of film festivals before we proceed with a sale and distribution.

Astrablu Media also completed the acquisition of the Panorama (Just Betzer) development slate and the film library being distributed through MGM. The film library includes the Academy Award Winner “Babette’s Feast”

The CEO and President of Astrablu Media, Josi W. Konski and his team are experts in making major motion pictures with high production values at surprisingly low cost and they are dedicated to building Astrablu Media into a major independent entertainment company.

With the proper financing, Astrablu Media intends to grow into an innovative and exciting fully integrated Motion Picture Production and Distribution Company in order to take advantage of the growing opportunity for Independent Motion Picture Production and Distribution.

Astrablu also intends to continue acquiring independent Motion Pictures produced by others that will provide a growing library to build its future revenues and generate competitive gross dollars in the distribution fees from sales derived from U.S. theatrical box office, Video/DVD, television, cable and overseas markets.
Astrablu Media will continue utilizing the latest technology to reduce the exorbitant cost of filmmaking that currently exists and to produce and distribute its own motion pictures at the most reasonable cost.
Astrablu Media expects through its company produced slate of Motion Pictures and acquisitions to generate revenues from multiple sources such as (1) Domestic theatrical release, (2) domestic and international sales for theatrical, DVD/Blue-ray, cable, television and other ancillary markets (3) artist merchandising sales, (4) general music product sales and (5) merchandising.

Astrablu emphasizes that each Motion Picture project will be made only after thorough investigation as to its commercial viability and financial structure.
